About Exempt
Exempt is the simplest and most cost effective way for small businesses to get a BEE certificate. Did you know that if you have a turnover of less than R5 million you automatically qualify as a 100% contributor towards BEE. Exempt offers the best value BEE certificate on the market.
Get your BEE certificate by following our easy four step process.
Once we have received your documents you will be issued a valid BEE certificate stating
that you qualify as a level 4 or even a level 3 BEE contributor.
Exempt issues BEE certificates by confirming your information with your auditor or
accounting officer, checking with CIPRO and finally creating your certificates.
Each certificate is given a unique reference number that your clients can use on
the exempt site to confirm your details and track your future certificates.
According to the codes of good practice for BEE, two different types of businesses can
issue BEE certificates
- Your accounting officer, and
- an Accredited BEE verification agent
Exempt.co.za offers a service to its clients where we collect and collate information
from accounting officers and auditors, this information is then represented online attached to
your certificate's unique reference number.
Because exempt deals with your accounting officer or auditor you must be a CC or
PTY(LTD) to use exempt. If you are a sole trader of partnership

solution for you.
Exempt charges a reasonable fee for BEE membership certificates,
the only additional cost that you may have to incur are
related to changing your auditor or accounting officer. If
the auditor/accounting officer provided in your registration
doesn't match the CIPRO records you will be required to
change your auditor, we will do this for you for a fee of
R250. Alternatively you can get you existing auditor or
accounting officer to change your details.
